” … the self is your life’s goal, for it is the complete expression of that fateful combination we call individuality.”

Carl Jung, M.D., in Collected Works

+ + +

The self Dr. Jung writes about is not meant to signal that selfishness is the goal of life but rather that you are to fully develop as a healthy human being, a psychologically healthy and full human being.

That said, how is it that we have so little critique made of a government that takes pride in consigning millions of people to a life of dependence on the government?

Communists societies have their gulags.  Apparently centralized governments have the permanent consignment to dependence, inertia, idleness.

Can anyone desire government more than God?

Among the works of man, which human life is rightly employed in perfecting and beautifying, the first in importance is surely man himself.

John Stuart Mill, in On Liberty

Note – It is reported that the Iranian nuclear scientist who was hung by his government was discovered passing information to us because of Hillary Clinton’s use of an unsecured email server.  So, we have another death.  Benghazi and this. Yet, no particular outrage or objection.  Hard to imagine.
