He who is not with me is against me: and he who does not gather with me scatters.  Therefore I say to you, any sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven people, but blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven. (Emphasis added)

Mt: 12:30-31

It is telling, oddly amusing and utterly alarming that the Left – its politicians, spokes-persons, its legions in the media, press and “entertainment’ – cannot utter the truth that radical Islamist terrorists aim to kill us and destroy western civilization.

It is even more interesting that people, pundits included, ask why it is that the President, his minions and his administration cannot even say the word “Islamist” when talking about terrorism.

The answer as to why they cannot is relatively easy to identity and is plainly in sight in the passage from the Gospel of Matthew from which the above two lines are taken.

Let me explain.

Matthew Chapter 12 from lines 22 to 29, inclusive, relate how Jesus attended to, and healed, the possessed, the blind, and the mute and how the Jewish powers that be (the Pharisees) took exception to what he did and asserted that only Satan could cast out his demons.

Of course, Jesus rightly said to them that a kingdom, city, or house divided against itself cannot stand and was, hence, saying to them that Satan would not divide his efforts against his objectives and himself so his healing actions cannot be the work of Satan but rather they must be evidence of the Spirit of God.

Thus, Jesus said, ” … if you cast out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.” (Emphasis added.)

He was challenging their unbelief.

Those who cannot identify the Islamist presence in the terror being committed by radical Islamists are like the Pharisees. They are non-believers.  They are not Christians.  They have no affinity for Christ, nor the Holy Spirit.  They do not act out of any faith, and surely not out of any understanding of faith or of Christianity, or of Christ.

They are un-believers.

Now read again what is quoted above.  Those not with Christ are against Christ. Those who are against Christ scatter (and divide) – they destroy.  Destroy what? Destroy and deny the Holy Spirit – the love manifest between God the Father and Christ, the son of God.  They deny the love given to us by God who loves us.  They deny God.

It is the denial of the Spirit alone, among all things, that is not to be forgiven.  It is the gravest of sins, for to deny the Spirit denies the Love that offers His Son in sacrifice for us.  Denying that ultimate act of love is the gravest and basest of sins.

Those who cannot acknowledge the terrorism we face for what it is have no belief. They are telling you this.  Take them at their word and turn a deft ear to their words, and lack thereof.

” … whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this world or the next.”

Mt 12:32

The words of Christ.  Better than the words of the godless.
